For me this is a lovely story to follow – I almost feel part of the family. I am nearing the end of The Coalminer’s Son now and am finding Patricia’s brilliant writing easy to read and cleverly progressive. I love the dramas, the emotion and the unfolding of the story over the changing years. I also think the way she follows the lives of the different characters is very cleverly achieved. I can’t wait to read book three!
